*What's included?
The reference to the number of pages in the template refers to the maximum number of pages that are included in the base cost. In other words, the base cost for a web site using a particular template is the same whether your web site has one page or the maximum number of pages. For example, the Joie de Vivre template is $850 for up to 25 pages. If your site, using this template, ended up being 10 pages, it would be $850; if it were 25 pages, it would be $850. To fall within the base cost, pages must be added during the initial development phase; pages added after the customer approves the site and it is published to the web will be billed separately, at the customary $45 per hour price.
During the initial development phase, you can always add pages over the maximum number allowed under the base price. The cost will be based upon the amount of labor involved, calculated at $45 per hour.
Prices are for the web site design only: they do not include the cost of purchasing your domain name or your first month's web hosting. Domain name prices will vary, but a non-premium domain name usually costs around $9 to $20. Your first month's web hosting will cost you $27.95, which includes a one-time $20 set-up fee; thereafter, your web hosting will cost you $7.95 per month.
Changes to background color, font and font color of non-Flash elements are included in the cost of the template. Substitution of the customer's own photos and line art are covered in the cost of the template, so long as only minor adjustments in size and resolution are required; if more extensive image manipulation is required, the labor to accomplish this will be billed at my regular fee of $45 per hour.
Note: any color changes to page elements that are composed of graphic files, such as navigation buttons and bars, are not covered in the cost of the template and the labor to accomplish this will be billed at my regular fee of $45 per hour.
Domain Names
Prices for domain names will vary, but a non-premium domain name usually costs around $9 to $20. Premium names (which are usually owned by brokers) run the gamut from hundreds to thousands of dollars.

Web Site Hosting
Your web site will be hosted on a rock-solid Linux Apache server that is connected directly to the backbone of the Internet, guaranteeing optimal speed and stability.
Your first month's web hosting will cost you $28.95, which includes a $20 set-up fee; thereafter, your web hosting will cost you just $8.95 per month. You can pay monthly, quarterly or annually.
Web Site Administration (Webmastering)
Once your web site is on the Internet, I can administer the site for you and make minor changes, as needed. My fee for this service is $45 an hour with a $10 minimum. No monthly fees, no extra charges. I charge you only for my actual hands-on time. Period.
Major design changes, such as adding additional pages or additional functionality to the site (a PayPal shopping cart, for example) will be billed at my usual rate of $45 an hour, but my one-hour minimum applies to this kind of work.
I can also set up your site to enable you to update specific information on your own, such as an events calendar, or special offers, or a blog. This can save you quite a bit of money over time, but involves a little bit of additional up-front cost for my additional labor and the cost of the Adobe Contribute software you will need to buy, install and learn how to use—all of which I can help you with.
